About this policy

This policy explains how Norex, a trading name of AJBERRI PTY LTD (ABN 13 151 813 642), handles personal information when you visit our website, contact us or work with us. Personal information is information or an opinion about an identified person, or a person who is reasonably identifiable.

Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles apply to us, we handle personal information in accordance with those requirements. Some exemptions may apply in particular circumstances.

Information we collect

Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:

  • your name, role, organisation and contact details;
  • information you include in an enquiry, project brief or other communication;
  • project, commercial and billing information relevant to our work with you;
  • technical information about your visit, such as your device, browser, approximate location, pages viewed and referring website; and
  • records of your communications and interactions with us.

Please do not send us sensitive information unless it is necessary and we have agreed to receive it.

How we collect information

We usually collect information directly from you, including through email, meetings and project work. The enquiry form on this website does not send anything to us by itself: it prepares a message in your own email application, which you choose whether to send. Nothing you type into it is transmitted to or stored on this website. We may also receive information from your colleagues, publicly available sources, referral partners or service providers where it is lawful and reasonable to do so.

How we use information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and assess potential projects;
  • provide, manage and improve our services;
  • communicate about projects, accounts and our relationship with you;
  • operate, secure, analyse and improve our website and business systems;
  • send relevant business updates where permitted by law; and
  • meet our legal obligations and protect our lawful interests.

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe option in the message or contacting us.

Cookies and website data

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, no advertising or tracking scripts, and embeds no third-party content, so no data about your visit is shared with anyone else. Fonts, images and every other asset are served directly from this site.

If we introduce analytics or another technology that stores information on your device, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

When we share information

We may disclose personal information to people who need it for the purposes described in this policy, including our personnel, professional advisers and providers of hosting, communications, analytics, project and business systems.

We may also disclose information where you authorise us to, where required or permitted by law, or in connection with a proposed sale or restructure of our business. We do not sell personal information.

Overseas processing

Some service providers may store or process information outside Australia. The countries involved can change with the services we use. You can contact us for current information relevant to your personal information. Where Australian privacy law applies, we take reasonable steps in relation to overseas disclosures as required by law.

Security and retention

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes for which it was collected, our business records and applicable legal requirements. We then delete, destroy or de-identify it where appropriate.

Access and correction

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity. If a lawful exception prevents us from meeting your request, we will explain our decision where required.

Privacy complaints

If you have a privacy concern, email us with enough detail for us to investigate. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable time.

If you are not satisfied with our response and the Privacy Act applies, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner through oaic.gov.au.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The current version will be published here with its updated date.

Questions, requests and complaints can be sent to hello@norex.au, or by post to Norex, 50 Miller St, North Sydney NSW 2060, Australia.
